Event Information

Give a Gig Week brings together artists, fans and local communities who want to equalise access to music for young people nationwide. Money and awareness is raised for Youth Music , the UK charity funding thousands of community led youth projects a year. Anyone can get involved by putting on a gig or buying a ticket. Due to accessibility issues the event we're holding the event downstairs at FGP rather than upstairs in The Old Bus Depot and we'll be showcasing some of the finest artists that have been recording in our studios and working on the various Youth Music Funded projects awarded to the group of community interest companies based in Fishergate Point Studios such as Offshoot's 'Circle Of Light' and Sugar Stealers projects, 'Dedicated's' 'Be Scene And Heard' programme and CYF's 'Our Journal' alongside their on going Nottingham community recording workshops. Unfortunately many can’t because of who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through. YM's insights, influence and investment in grassroots organisations and to young people themselves means that more 0–25-year-olds can make, learn and earn in music. Youth Music is a national charity funded thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England, players of People's Postcode Lottery and support from partners, fundraisers and donors. https://youthmusic.org.uk/
