Event Information

Back with a bang for 2022!

We are delighted to announce the East Midlands Finance Awards will be back once again courtesy of Distinct Recruitment at Nottingham Contemporary on the evening of Thursday 14th July.

In 2019 we hosted the first ever “East Midlands Finance Awards” and it’s safe to say a great night was had by all. With a few sore heads the next day too. Sadly, for obvious reasons we have been unable to continue running the awards in 2020 and 2021, but we are delighted to welcome it back this year.

The EMFA is designed by Accountancy & Finance professionals, for Accountancy & Finance professionals. And we have more reasons to celebrate them than ever due to the last couple of years. Navigating everything from furlough schemes to tight reporting deadlines, coupled with teams scuppered by remote working, home schooling and isolation challenges. The list goes on.

We believe that the East Midlands is the best place in the UK to build a career in the industry and wanted to create an event which recognised this.

So here we are, celebrating you guys! A quick reminder of the categories:

Finance Team of the Year <10 staff judged by Sophie Turner from #YesSheCan and Joanne Hodgson from Molson Coors.

Finance Team of the Year >10 staff judged by Carolyn Pears from Cooper Parry and Joanne Hodgson from Molson Coors

Finance Leader of the Year judged by Richard Parker from HSBC and Carolyn Pears from Cooper Parry

And who could forget our guest speakers... Ed Clancy OBE and Phil Kelly

We hope to see you there, remember its not a formal award ceremony but more of a celebration of the hard work you do, day in, day out!
